Christmas is a great time of the year with lots of celebrations, time with friends and family and gifts. For a lot of New Zealand children this time can be especially hard due to their circumstances and problems with family and money. Our goal is to help in some small way to have kids have something that they can get out and explore on and experience all that skateboarding can bring.

2016 saw this grow to an even bigger scale with the help of some incredible people and their vision in wanting to go that bit further this Christmas. We want to sincerely thank all those who gave up their time, skateboards, parts and donations to help make this project happen.

Disposable cameras don’t get the credit they deserve.

It’s highly likely that some of your favourite photos were probably taken on that temperamental piece of plastic you use once and chuck in the bin. Which is why Finger Blur sounded like our kind of exhibition. 14 disposables were sent to 14 people around the world—including the likes of Craig Anderson, Bobby Dekeyzer and Jed Anderson—and the results are what’ll be on show for all to see. We chatted to Izzy Brinsdon of RAYL about the upcoming shows in Sydney and Melbourne, to see what we can expect. – Monster Children.

It’s back! A Very Skateboard Christmas will once again set out to get as many underprivileged kids as possible skateboards under the tree this Christmas. Now entering our third year we are excited to make this the best year yet!! Find out more. 

A Very Skateboard Christmas is about giving underprivileged kids the chance to experience skateboarding and all the fun and challenges it has to offer.

We will be collecting and accepting donations of new and good condition skateboard completes and parts from now until mid December. At that time we will build all of the parts into completes and present them to Barnardos children’s charity who will distribute them through their channels to as many kids as possible for Christmas.

One month in and the boards are stacking up. We’ve had a great response so far and with six weeks to go it’s going to be another awesome year for a heap of New Zealand kids this Christmas.

It’s back! A Very Skateboard Christmas will once again set out to get as many underprivileged kids as possible skateboards under the tree this Christmas. After it’s first successful year in 2014 we are keen to see this go even further.

A Very Skateboard Christmas is about giving underprivileged kids the chance to experience skateboarding and all the fun and challenges it has to offer.

We will be collecting and accepting donations of new and good condition skateboard completes and parts from now until mid December.
