Over the last few years China, and more specifically Shenzhen has become a go-to destination for some of the biggest names and teams in skateboarding. With it’s constant expansion and ongoing construction there are more and more places to skate popping up all the time. The biggest difference compared to most skateboard hot spots is that you’re actually allowed to skate. With some many people coming through it’s starting to leave it’s mark on the emerging local skate scene. It’s not a stretch to think that in the coming years the world is likely to see some incredible talent coming out of a city that has everything you want to skate, and the authorities let you do it. Vice Sports met with some of the locals and international filmers to find out more.
